Power Center Community Development Corporation

The mission of the Power Center Community Development Corporation (PCCDC) is to restore the economic, educational, and social foundation of Hickory Hill through empowering initiatives designed to instill hope, pride, and a sense of community.

The PCCDC is a 501(c)(3) public charitable benefits corporation established to focus on the progression of education, economic, and social development in the Hickory Hill Community of Memphis, TN.  Officially established in March of 2006, the philosophy of the organization can be best described in the words of its visionary, Dr. Stacy L. Spencer, “We want to become an oasis in the Hickory Hill community. It is our intention to lessen major health concerns, racial tensions, class discrimination, poverty rates, and criminal activity.  We will do this through the strategizing, implementation and provision of educational, recreational and economic opportunities for the residents of the community.”
